  • How does the killing force of FRONTLINE Plus kill fleas and ticks?
  • Aside from their sweet ninja moves, the force has two secret weapons: fipronil and (S)-methoprene. Once FRONTLINE Plus is applied, this combo stores itself in the oil glands in your pet’s skin. It then self-distributes continuously for one month to your pet’s hair and skin through the hair follicles. Any flea or tick that comes in contact with your pet is dead meat.
  • How long does it take for the killing force to kill fleas and ticks?
  • Fleas die after a fierce 12-hour battle*. Ticks are goners within 48 hours†.
  • Do fleas and ticks have to bite my pet for FRONTLINE Plus to work?
  • No way. All the force needs to begin killing is for the flea or tick to land on your pet. No biting necessary.
  • Why am I seeing more fleas on my pet after applying FRONTLINE Plus?
  • Fleas rise to the top of your pet’s hair coat as they die. So if you start seeing more fleas after treating your pet, consider it a victory for the killing force.
  • I enlisted the killing force, but I still see fleas in my home. Why?
  • While the force is killing fleas on your pet, new flea eggs could be hatching in other parts of your home from a previous infestation. After a few consecutive months of treatment, the force will help stop and prevent these infestations.

    It’s also important to remember that you, your pet, or a visiting pet can still bring new fleas into your home. Applying FRONTLINE Plus once a month will help stop these fleas before they can start infesting your home.
  • Does FRONTLINE Plus have an expiration date?
  • No. As long as you keep it at room temperature and sealed in its original packaging, the force will remain ready for battle.
  • How long after application can my pet be bathed or go swimming?
  • Even though the killing force is fully waterproof, you should wait 24 hours after applying before letting your pet get wet. This allows the force to spread over your pet’s entire body. If you apply the force after a bath, make sure your pet is completely dry first.
  • Can I use the killing force if my pet is on medication?
  • The killing force may be fierce, but it can play nice with others. FRONTLINE Plus is a topical treatment, and there are no known negative interactions with systemic medications.
  • Can I use FRONTLINE Plus if I have already applied another flea and tick control product?
  • For killing fleas and ticks, the force is all you really need. If you did just use another product though, you can still apply FRONTLINE Plus without complications. Just wait at least 24 hours for the other product to dry before applying FRONTLINE Plus.
  • Does the force kill anything else besides fleas and ticks?
  • You bet. The force also kills chewing lice.
  • Can FRONTLINE Plus be used on pets other than dogs and cats?
  • No. The force has a special bond with dogs and cats only. There are individualized doses based on what kind of pet you have and how much it weighs. Be sure to use the right product for your pet.
  • Can I apply the killing force more than once a month?
  • Don’t reapply FRONTLINE Plus before the month is through. The killing force goes hard for a full 30 days.

  • Your vet’s office is the place. Only there can you get expert advice, personal application instructions, and special deals, like this one.
  • How old does my pet have to be to have FRONTLINE Plus applied?
